THE FOUNDATION

In the upper part of the town, overlooking expansive swaths of land, there is a series of buildings that previously housed the now-extinct Noesis Foundation.

Refurbishment work on this property, headed up by German architect/interior designer Klaus Wagner, finished around 1985. He was commissioned to refurbish a group of seven neighbouring houses, in very poor conditions, to house the Foundation headquarters. His first decision was to preserve the historical value of the buildings, one of which dated back to 1721, by shoring up all of the façades and restoring them to their original condition. He put up new framing for the core buildings, five houses, giving them large open spaces and leaving his stamp on the interiors with Ibiza-inspired details. This is undoubtedly his most emblematic work, with the painstakingly preserved façades and modern layout inside.

The core buildings of the former Noesis Foundation are located at Calle Depósito 4, 6, 8 and 10, where they carried out all of their activities. They have the following layout:
Basement floor: storage area, washroom and workshop opening onto a courtyard.
Ground floor: main entrance, reception area, open kitchen, pantry, two washrooms, dining room and living room, both opening onto a courtyard.
First floor: service door, entrance with porch, conference room with emergency exit onto courtyard, library/office and classroom/meeting room.
Second floor: ten double bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Third floor: covered terrace, washing and ironing area, workshop/classroom and large terrace with 360° panoramic views.
